MONO - The Diner by Raymond Hughes (10 marks)

The lines of the floor and counter tiles, the stools and the two similarly posed waiters contribute to a lovely sense of rhythm in this image. The left hand side of the image allows for a good position of the waiters, but is perhaps a little distracting. It might have been interesting to see how including the base of the front stool would have affected the composition. A good range of tones, and an effective mono image. - Judith
