MONO - Young Scientist by Nigel Snell (7.5 marks)

The inquisitive look on the young boys face as he stares at the microscope shows that there's a connection there as the microscope looks like it's got eyes and a mouth and is stares back at him. The dark legs in the background right in the centre of the frame are a distraction as are the lights on the top of the frame. I believe a tighter crop would have improved the overall image so that the focal point remains on the child and the microscope. - Matthew
