PDI - Leopard Cub by Colin Ross (14 marks)
Catchlight Camera Club
I love the feel of this, his location with the dappled light as he slopes away. I also like the limited colour palette, natural of course but really adds to the pictorial feel of it. Sue Sibley
The composition of this image is fantastic. The long grass and tree trunks all curving to the right and as if in sync the hind quarters and shoulder of the cub draw the eye up and sweep of to the right also, nature in balance.
Then there is the dappled light just catching on the Leopard cubs face at that moment where the cub has turned, ‘always alert and watching its back’.
My focus is held on the face of the leopard cub. The natural surroundings have ben softly lit and add to that feeling of adventure and mystery as the cub heads off into the undergrowth. - Matthew
